There are many individuals who feel the same way about mornings, but the great thing is that you have a lot of options to get rid of this morning motivation slip. Integrating these 8 Morning tips to motivate you throughout the day.

1. Set a Positive Intention

Wake up with a positive commitment towards the day. But, before you even get out of bed, think about what you are going to accomplish or concentrate on for the day. This can be an exact intention, a positive affirmation or just an attitude of thankfulness. If you plan your day with a positive intention, it will, in turn, give you the fuel to have productive and motivated subsequent hours.

Mindfully setting an intention is a beautiful ritual and can influence changes in your mental state. By beginning your day with intention you are setting the tone of what really, truly is paramount for YOU. It can help you remain focused, motivated and aligned with your goals for the day.

One of the best ways to manifest a positive intention is by imagining what you want the result in your head. Picture yourself successfully getting the outcome you want, and play it in your head with your eyes closed. Visualize yourself being happy, revived, and successful circuits your achievements. You are not only seeding the idea into your brain but you turn it over to the law of attraction.

Another way to set a positive intention is through affirmations.  Affirmations are positive statements that you tell yourself repeatedly, so you can form a mental construct of what it is like to have the thing or behavior that you desire. Say your intention for the day is to be more confident, you can go through the whole day of slamming those affirmations by saying things like “I am CONFIDENT AND CAPABLE ” or even “CONFIDENCE RADIATES FROM MY VERY BEING” Basically, you are just affirming these positive statements to reprogram your subconscious mind by believing in yourself and attracting situations that are in accordance with your intention.

Another great intention for the day is to be filled with gratitude. Having an attitude of gratitude helps you focus on what already is in your life instead of everything that is not. This is where the mood instantly shifts, and you stop taking even your smallest blessing for granted. One way to form this habit is to make you intention clear, for example by noticing and celebrating the smaller things that happen; a great coffee in the morning, something kind said from your colleague or a beautiful sunset.

And, understand that positive intention setting is not a once and done practice. It is a practice that you can add to your life everyday to help in making your life more incredibly good and extraordinarily fulfilling. When you have a clear intention each day, you are in conscious control of your mindset and paving the way for success. Therefore, each morning, before you start your day, take a minute to set an upbeat intention for the day and witness as it changes your day and brightens up your life.

Meditation or mindfulness can serve as a crucial stepping-stone to feel you centered and motivated in the morning. A quiet space is a key for you to have time to breathe a bit!  Throw your distraction out the window.  It can be a great way to start reducing stress and also to focus more on the day which will put you in a better mindset.

In our modern culture, it is easy to get caught up in the busyness of life. While you sit and watch your breath, thoughts will come up. So, of course it is normal. But when you’re crafting your own morning routine, keep in mind exactly what is important to you personally. Either that or you may even prefer to take a few quiet moments of meditation and gratitude so as to put forward a positive intention for the day.

Aside from exercises that will get you feeling good and thinking straight, it also pays to bring in the chores that keep your mind clear and focused. If so, you could be reviewing your day ahead, as well as creating goals or intentions if you have them, and prioritizing tasks. Taking time for self-care is another significant element to include in your morning routine. Which could be anything from a leisurely hot shower to a yummy breakfast or to something filled with joy and creative fulfillment. Taking time for self-care is putting your needs first, and it will create a positive day.

5. Practice Gratitude

Gratitude can play a major role in your mindset and motivation. Spend a few minutes each morning writing about 3 things you are grateful for. By keeping a gratitude journal, you will be reminded to look for the small yet important things in your life so that you can start your day with reminders of what there is to gain.

Grateful is one of the most powerful tools we can have in our happiness toolkit and reaching for it can help shift our moods, sometimes pretty dramatically. Gratitude Rewires Your Brain When you practice recognizing and acknowledging the things you are thankful for, what is actually happening in your brain is that you are focusing on the good aspects of your life. This can help to override our minds mechanism  on not continuously focusing on negatives.

In addition, showing appreciation can also strengthen your relationships with others. Expressing your thankfulness for the people you share life with by saying a simple “thank you”, or writing a note is purposely weaving threads of connection, and creating an environment where positivity can grow.

Gratitude can also make a big difference for your motivation.  It is like mindset and relationships. Folding thoughts onto themselves, then folding them again until the day you stop and realize all those folds have made for a very small piece of paper with little writing on it to celebrate. It can also inspire you to adopt an attitude of change and Grit in your pursuits.

When incorporating gratitude into your life, it is crucial that you are genuine and specific with the steps you take. Avoid writing cliche sentences like “I am grateful for my family” Write why you love your family and what you love about them. For instance, write, “I am thankful for my family who will support me no matter what so I have the courage to pursue my dreams.

Always realize that gratitude is a skill you will gain over time. It will take more than 1 reading to integrate it into your life, as it is a habit like any other. So prioritize generating thankfulness as part of your daily life as well as see just how it will change your perspective, partnerships and inspiration.

6. Set Realistic Goals

Having realistic goals will provide the structure you need to get up and move in the morning. You should know exactly what you want, and you need to take control of it, divide those bigger goals into smaller tasks so that you can work everyday and prepare for the worst things to come. Therefore, this ensures you have a task list and that an end goal or direction can be derived from how your day is structured.

Set realistic goals.  So dream, aim high… and make sure however much you want to push yourself or stretch what might be possible, that is not going to happen in the time-frame you have given yourself. When you are constantly feeling frustrated or disappointed, being demotivated is likely.

A good way of defining the goals which are realistic in nature is by using something like a SMART framework.  You can do this by framing your goals with specific, measurable, achievable, and alignment to your objectives.

Also, splitting your macro goals into micro-tasks is a big part of setting achievable goals. This enables you to concentrate one step a time and stops the feeling of being bombarded. By breaking your goals down into easier-to-manage chunks will help you check things off the list as action is completed. This will give you a sense of progress and accomplishment which will spur on motivation to keep you reaching for your dreams.

In addition, realistic goals also give you better awareness of the skills and resources you have. It helps you understand roughly what is possible in your life today. Know your limits and strengths so that you may set goals which are challenging but achievable.

NOTE: There is a big misconception that setting realistic goals means that you are limiting yourself or settling for less – nothing could be further from the truth. It is simply about building a pathway for you to be able to follow through with your dreams stepwise. When you make realistic goals, you are designing yourself for success and more likely to attain your overall desire.

7. Surround Yourself with People Who Inspire You

think positive

Do those things that inspire and enthuse you. Hang pictures or motivational quotes in your work or living space. Images of the goals and aspirations that you envision, can serve as both a daily reminder and motivation throughout your day.

On top of having visual reminders, I am using the people around me as an added means for motivation. Follow people who are successful with things you care about and learn from them. Have a conversation with them, pick their brain, watch how they work. Their energy is contagious and the right people will force you up to new highs of aspiration.

You can also soak yourself in books and articles or post-casts about something you like. Reading the story of others, how they made it will bring you a punch of energy that might awake your courage to keep on! Moreover, going to conferences that are in some way related to your field, or workshops and seminars in which people discuss ideas and alternatives — rest assured this will set you on your path.

You can also try to participate in groups or communities who have the same interests and aims like yours. No matter if you need an online forum or a local club, or a group of colleagues who share your professional interests; having some form of support system is often necessary for encouragement and inspiration. Talking to other people on a similar journey is a great way to keep you motivated, share ideas and learn from others who are doing the same.

Get in touch with friends, search online groups or network events where you could meet similar people. Telling other people about your goals and your progress helps you maintain a sense of purpose in your workout.

Additionally, developing a relationship with others can also lead in building up new determinations and ideas. When you spend more time with people who are hungry and ambitious, their energy tends to rub off on you, and it prods — threatens even — that which lies deep within; those same impulses urging you to attain your own dreams. This fresh perspective from an active reader of the self-help book can provide support, guidance, and insight which could really help you in your journey.
